Wendy scales new heights!!!

April 24th, 2013

Our brilliant Area Account Manager Wendy Rust has just completed Snowdon!

Due to the bad weather the ranger took them up the pyg track one of the most difficult routes and then the weather turned! They were up against 65 mile an hour winds and hale stones the size of golf balls, pretty scary! Unfortunately due to health and safety they had to turn back round 20 minutes from the summit. The ranger took them back down as the winds were too bad and people were on their hands and knees. It took 4hrs 30 mins and they came back down the miners track. Apparantly, as she looked the part the ranger thought they were hardened and experienced walkers so the route the ranger chose was a proper climb up the mountain and not the walk they were expecting, but they we all survived and got back in one piece!!!

Wendy would like to thank every one at T&G and all her customers and friends who sponsored her, and it looks like she could have raised near the £500 mark especially for Zoe’s Place – a local babies hospice http://www.zoes-place.org.uk/

Well done Wendy!!!!

All prepared!!
